Bayliss Recovery Ltd is a vehicle recovery and recycling company that specialises in removing, storing, treating and disposing of abandoned, burned-out and accident damaged vehicles from public areas. The vehicles are taken to our site at Ogmore Vale, Bridgend, where the vehicles are either impounded prior to sale or depolluted in line with the End of Life Vehicles (2003) Regulations.

The recovery, storage, treatment and disposal of vehicles by Bayliss Recovery Ltd has a very positive impact on the environment and local communities. We do, however, recognise that our activities can also have a negative impact on the environment. These impacts have been identified through an environmental review and prioritised through an environmental aspect evaluation process. Significant environmental impacts include; consumption of raw materials; natural resources; and production of waste. We are committed to continual environmental improvement of our site, through our Green Dragon compliant Environmental Management System (EMS), and recognise the link between economic growth and a healthy environment.

Bayliss Recovery Ltd recognises that communication within the company is essential for environmental management. All are committed to:
  • Complying with all relevant environmental legislation and, where possible, exceeding industry standards. This includes developing working practices with environmental issues in mind and complying with the End of Life Vehicles Regulations.

  • Ensuring continual environmental improvement through implementing best practice including the attainment of Level 4 of the Green Dragon Environmental Management System. Certification to Level 5 and ISO14001 certification is the long term objective.

  • Preventing pollution through engineered controls, workforce environmental awareness and by ensuring our Objectives & Targets are regularly reviewed, achieved and updated.

  • Ensuring that environmental issues and working practices are communicated effectively by giving environmental awareness training.
